- Subjects tested at Queen Elizabeth Grammar school are Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Maths (GL Assessment)
- In Lancashire the Grammar Schools have the same exam. The Exam is written by GL and pupils have to sit three papers. These papers test Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English.
- The Liverpool and Wirral areas have 10 schools that are selective (fully or partially)
- Grammar schools in Trafford use CEM as their examiners. The following four schools will be known as the Trafford Grammar Schools CEM Consortium (TGSCC):
- Altrincham Grammar for Girls
- Sale Grammar
- Stretford Grammar
- Urmston Grammar.
- Wirral's examiners are CEM - They are administered by the Wirral Borough Council.
